About the Sub-centre

Established in September 2024 and inaugurated on 10th July 2025 by the Hon'ble Minister of Communications, the VTU-VRIF (Visvesvaraya Technological University - Visvesvaraya Research and Innovation Foundation) Sub-centre has rapidly emerged as a major hub for Quantum and 5G/6G research, innovation, and skill development in India.

Located in Bengaluru, India's technology capital, this centre of excellence leverages the city's vibrant startup ecosystem and industry presence to build strong industry-academia partnerships that accelerate India's telecom and quantum technology ecosystem. With a state-of-the-art facility spanning 56,000 sq ft, the sub-centre provides comprehensive infrastructure for cutting-edge research and innovation.

M.Tech in Quantum Technologies
Launching India's first specialized M.Tech program in Quantum Technologies in January 2026, developed in collaboration with industry leaders QNu Labs and QpiAI. This pioneering academic program will produce skilled professionals to drive India's quantum revolution.
